David Howells & Kristie Sheehy October 18th - November 18th 2013

All are welcome to join us at the Bread Gallery on Friday October 18th, from 6-8pm, for the opening reception of our latest show featuring limited edition prints and original paintings by David Howells and mixed media sculptures by Kristie Sheehy. Show continues until November 18th. 7778 Highway #14, Brooklyn, Hants County, NS, (902) 757-3377

Citing an "innate urge to create", evident in everything she has done over the years,
sculptor Kristie Sheehy isn't just making beautiful objects, she is telling stories.
Whether depicting the plight of her Beothuck ancestors, the Bay of Fundy Acadians or the simple and universal act of a boy catching a frog, she strives to capture the smaller circadian grains that make up the sand in the hour glass, one figure at a time.

David Howells has exhibited with some of Canada's leading galleries, painting full-time since 1986. His work is a blending of Realism and Impressionism and reflects his passion for traditional pastoral landscapes. Though having travelled extensively, his landscapes depict primarily English and Nova Scotian scenes. Water (in its many guises) and the 'use of light’ weave constant threads throughout his work.
